Chapter 25
Callisto was undeterred by Lorraine’s actions. He crossed the distance between them, ignoring the eyes of the onlookers. Standing behind Lorraine, he bent down to embrace her tightly.
The speed of his actions left them momentarily unable to react. He felt Lorraine’s initial shock, but it quickly dissolved into a lack of emotion.
“Baby, I miss you. Callisto buried his face in the crook of Lorraine’s neck and shoulder, inhaling the scent he had missed for so long. He closed his eyes, savoring the feeling of holding his wife again. “I miss you so, so much.”
Lorraine remained silent. He could feel the coldness emanating from her, tightening his chest. Instead of letting go, he tightened his arms around her even more.
“I’m sorry, please forgive me. I couldn’t have done what they said I did. Please, I know you can’t leave me, Lorraine. Please, baby, forgive me. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m so contased with everything that’s happening…” he pleaded emotionally.
Silence reigned for a long time before Lorraine finally broke it with a cold, indifferent tone. “Get off
But Callisto didn’t listen. He knew Lorraine was putting up a barrier between them. He hated the feeling of her being so close yet so far away. This wasn’t the Lorraine he remembered.
Callisto recalled Lorraine as sweet and affectionate, someone who almost never wanted to be apart from him. Whenever she saw him, she would jump with joy, greeting him with the tightest hugs. Now, she couldn’t even bring herself to touch him.
“Get off of her, man,” Wayne suddenly ordered coldly. He stood up to push Callisto away, forcing him to release Lorraine.
Callisto straightened up and released Lorraine, pushing Wayne in frustration and overwhelming emotion.
“Who do you think you are, huh?! Who are you to act like this with my wife?!” he shouted, pushing Wayne again, causing him to lose his balance and nearly fall to the floor.
Before Wayne could speak again, Callisto landed a hard punch on his jaw.
“You’re probably the one to blame for all this!! You took my wife from me!!” He didn’t let Wayne fall to the ground but grabbed him by the collar, shaking him violently. His eyes blazed with anger as he glared at Wayne.
“Oh no! Dad!!” Lucian and Lucio shouted simultaneously.
“Damn it! That’s enough, Callisto!” Gideon stepped between them. It was easy for him to pry his boss’s hands off Wayne because Callisto’s body hadn’t regained its former strength to fight him.
“Fuck it!! Let go of me, you-
“Asshole!!” Callisto fell to the floor as Wayne’s hard fist unexpectedly hit his jaw, causing him to collapse,
Their commotion echoed loudly in the spacious cafeteria, grableng the attention of the few people around and those passing by.
“What?! Can’t you accept, you jerk, the betrayal you did to Lorraine?! You even impregnated her own sister?!” Wayne shouted angrily at him. “How dare you think that after everything. Lorraine would still be your wife! You?! Who are you to feel entitled to her now?!”
Callisto’s fists trembled with anger at the accusation he knew he hadn’t committed.
“I would never do that to Lorraine!!” He quickly got up, his eyes red as he turned to his wife, who now looked at him with a blank expression. “There must be a misunderstanding! L–Lorraine, believe me, I could never replace you with Amber! She’s

been chasing after me for so long, and I’ve never been interested in her, believe me! I couldn’t just have a child with her! That’s ridiculous!”
He looked at her intently with pleading eyes. He waited for her response, hoping she would side with him.
“What a jerk!” But the other twin broke the silence with a sneer.
Lorraine then sighed. “Unfortunately, you did commit that ridiculous act, Callisto.”
-W–What?” His heart sank. “No, it can’t be!”
Lorraine calmly averted her gaze. “Why don’t you sit down and let’s discuss this without violence. My children are present. so please don’t make me call the police on you once again.”
Tears welled up in Callisto’s eyes. He couldn’t speak as Gideon forcibly pulled him back to his seat.
Meanwhile, Gideon shot Lorraine a sharp look. “You shouldn’t have brought Wayne with you. You and Callisto should be the ones to talk. There’s no need for an outsider.”
“Our DAD is not an outsider!” The twins responded loudly.
Gideon fell silent and lowered his gaze to the two boys, who looked identical in every angle, even in their clothing. The only difference was that one looked more defiant, while the other had a paler complexion
Gideon turned his gaze to Wayne, who proudly sat back down next to the boys. Then he looked at Callisto, who now seemed to have lost all the color in his face. His eyes widened with shock,
Of course, Gideon hadn’t told Callisto about being the actual father of the twins yet. He wasn’t in the position to be the one to spill the tea, but only Lorraine.
But on the other hand, Gideon understood that the twins already regarded someone else as their father. They probably had been brainwashed by their mother to hate Callisto by now, thats why their fierce eyes kept glaring at him.
Callisto tried to reach Lorraine’s hand that was resting on the table, but she quickly pulled it away and hid it under the table.
Lorraine began to speak again after a few seconds. “Gideon, Wayne, could you please move to another table for a while and leave us to talk without any disturbance!”
Gideon stood up immediately. “Alright”
Wayne followed with a sigh. “If Callisto crosses the line again, I’ll not hesitate to punch him in the face again.”
“Thanks,” Lorraine casually replied to him.
When the two left the table, Lorraine, Callisto, and their children were left. The reason Lorraine brought Wayne with her was to prevent Callisto from coming at her again and to have someone look out for her kids in case Callisto lost control.
“Baby.” Callisto pleaded. “Please believe me, I couldn’t have betrayed you. And I know you couldn’t have betrayed me
either.”
“Unfortunately, it already happened, Callisto,” Lorraine said seriously. “It’s over and done with. You already had an affair with Amber. Everything you’ve heard since you woke up from the coma is true. Amber carried your daughter, Anjie, and Later on divorced me. Her eyes and voice grew colder. “Gideon aid you’d believe it if it came from me, so here it is. Before you had an accident, we had a divorce, meaning we’re no longer together. I’m no longer your wife, and you are no longer my husband”
