“Why are you calling Dom?” Unexpectedly, Victoria answered, suspicions after our earlier confrontation.
“Dom, some Mary is calling you.” Dominic quickly grabbed the phone and cleared his throat.
“Mary, I’m in an important meeting right now, so whatever it is can wait.” Then he hung up.

With my last reserves of energy, I fought to open my eyes, my voice trembling as I asked, “Is my pup okay?”

When I woke again, I found my hand tightly held by my mother, who watched over me with tears in her eyes. She didn’t speak, but her tears fell like rain. “My precious girl has suffered so much.” My mom held me and walled, devastated.
The color drained from my face. “My babies. Where are my babies, Mom?”
“Not one but two, my dear. Your pups are perfectly healthy.” She quicldy brought the twins and placed them beside me. When I turned to see their tiny faces, my entire world lit up with joy.
Reyna, do you know what the healer said? They told me it was a miracle you survived. You lost so much blood and could have died. I never should have trusted that bastard. To think he’s betraying you so openly!
I froze at my mother’s words. “Mom, how do you know?” I carefully approached the subject.
“Me? The entire pack knows by now. Apparently, Dominic’s mistress answered his phone when they called about your emergency. What are you planning In do?
