and said firmly, “I don’t have to look. Jessica would never hurt you.”

der had to say, it’s my turn now. Let’s get a divorce.” I handed over the divorce agreement.
Instead of being surprised, Edward had a calm expression. After reading it, he said, “We can get divorced, but the child must be in my custody from now on. I don’t want the child to live with such a vicious mother as you.”
I said, “You don’t need to worry about this issue. The child is already gone.”
“It seems you are foolish. The doctor said the baby was fine,” said Edward stubbornly.
I said, “I had an abortion that night after you left.”
“Do you think I would believe a word you said? You just don’t want to give me the baby. There has to be a clause added to the divorce agreement. After we divorce, I will raise the child when it’s born. Otherwise, I’m not getting divorce,” he said firmly.
I thought about it and agreed as I didn’t feel it necessary to argue about it.
The following day, we went to the Courthouse.
Edward gave me the house and the deposit, keeping only the car.

He said he was grateful to me for giving birth to the Wilson family and for giving him custody of the unborn child, so the house and deposit were compensation for me.
I accepted.
Edward packed his bags with a hint of reluctance and helplessness on his face. “Elizabeth, the fact that you lured Jessica into the primeval forest of Ailfa Mount with the intention of getting her killed has touched my bottom line. Without this incident, our marriage could have continued. Blame yourself if you want, not me, for being heartless.”
I said calmly, “At this point, what else do we have to say? Ever since Jessica came back, your feelings for me have not been firm. You’ve forgotten that you’re a married man”
“I haven’t. I just treat Jessica as my sister.” He was still defending himself.
“Forget it. There’s no need for us to argue. Anyway, you can be with Jessica openly right now,” I said sarcastically.
Edward said, “I’ll have to wait until after the cooling off period for a month.”
I smiled, “You’re such a man of principle. I wish you two assholes to be together for the rest of your lives.”
Edward gave me a stern look before slamming the door and leaving.
