Chapter 11
Chapter 11
I finally found the truest happiness that belonged only to me.
After the wedding, as I was leaving in the wedding car, Ethan, who had been kept outside and free from his restraints, ran after the car, shouting my name.
I never looked back.
Later, when I heard news of Ethan again, it was when he was lying in the hospital, half- paralyzed.
By that time, after my marriage was official, Catherine had revealed her pregnancy to the entire Elmswood, intending to use it as leverage to pressure the Clark Family, hoping Ethan would go back to his original plan and

marry her.
Ethan pretended to agree on the surface, but deep down, he held a grudge against
Catherine for causing me to completely leave
him.
Later, during Catherine’s prenatal check–up, Ethan deliberately arranged for a black- market doctor, someone from the underground market, to forcibly abort the child she was carrying.
Catherine couldn’t accept this cruel reality. She spent every day lurking near the Clark Group, waiting for the right moment. One day, she finally found the chance and drove her car straight into Ethan, running him over.
Catherine was arrested and sentenced.
Ethan’s lower limbs were amputated during

emergency surgery and he remained
unconscious to this day.
With the Clark Family business losing its anchor, Sophia was forced to step up and take charge, trying her best to hold the entire company together.
As I listened to these pieces of news, all that remained in my heart was a sense of pity.
I turned around and threw myself into the arms of Luke, who had personally made soup for me.
The past could not be undone and from now on, every day, I would cherish this peaceful happiness–loving my partner, loving myself and living a joyful, healthy second half of my life.
