Amber did indeed show signs of threatened miscarriage, with several bruises on her body.
At first glance, it did look like she had been abused.
As soon as Amber saw me, she hid under the blanket, trembling, looking every bit the innocent victim.
I spoke calmly:

Kevin had grown up under Eric’s oppression since childhood and had always been afraid of his older brother. But at this moment, he stood in front of me, backing me up.
