“Lucian Lucio!” Lorraine’s brow furrowed, but she soon smiled as they raced towards her and struggled to climb her high bed.
“Mom!” Lucian was the first to climb up, snuggling to her right and hugging her tightly.
“Oh, sweetie,” she immediately wrapped one arm around him and pulled him closer.
“Mommy!” Lucio climbed up next and snuggled to her left, also hugging her tightly.
She embraced them both warmly and asked with a smile, “I thought you missed your room. Why aren’t you sleeping there?”

She didn’t expect him to say that Really, her twins had high emotional intelligence. But for her, they were more comforting than protecting her. They always warmed her heart in their little ways.
“Is that so?” Her heavy heart felt much lighter.

She knew they disliked Callisto. However, it was a small thing he was asking for compared to going to court, especially when she was busy taking care of Lucio’s illness.

“Very good. My understanding kids make me so proud!” she praised them.
She settled them into bed and sang them a lullaby before they fell asleep.
The next day, as she expected, Callisto didn’t cause any trouble at their house like he did the previous night. But even though he didn’t show up in frost of them, he was still watching from the house across the street.
When Lorraine took out the trash, she saw him in his front yard, drinking coffee and smiling sweetly at her. Later, when the twins played in their front yard, she saw Callisto mowing his lawn while watching the kids from a distance. The low fence between their houses allowed them to see each other’s activities when outside.
She tried to ignore him, but the next day and the following days, he was still there. It felt like he was a 24/7 CCTV, constantly watching over them.
As days passed, his sweet smile started to feel creepy. Didn’t he have anything else to do all week but spy on them!
She couldn’t help but wonder what Amber was doing now to let her amnesiac fiance run loose?
She knew Amber well enough to know how possessive she could be. Judging by that, it was safe to assume that Amber wouldn’t allow Callisto to approach her like this
