Chapter 11
Daniel couldn’t stop himself from stewing over his misery. The more he thought
about it, the more he blamed Grace. If it hadn’t been for helping her, he wouldn’t have lost me.
Unable to bear the resentment building inside, Daniel quietly slipped away from his family’s watchful eyes. He sought out. Grace, grabbed her by the wrist and demanded a divorce.
Grace was horrified. She refused, unwilling to let the happiness she had fought so hard for crumble before her eyes. In a desperate attempt to keep her position as his wife, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She drugged Daniel and ensured she became pregnant.
For a brief moment, she believed she had secured her role as Mrs. Rollins. But her joy was short–lived. When Daniel discovered her actions, his fury knew no

bounds. Without hesitation, he dragged her to the hospital, forcing her to undergo an abortion.
The procedure left Grace devastated. Not only had she lost her child, but the aftermath of the surgery also dealt her an irreversible blow–she would never be able to bear children again.
When Grace received the news, she completely unraveled. Overwhelmed by rage and despair, she confronted Daniel the next time he approached her, divorce papers in hand. In a fit of madness, she stabbed him–thirty times in total, each strike precise and fatal.
Within mere minutes, Daniel bled out, his life extinguished.
It wasn’t long before Grace came to her senses, the weight of her actions crashing down on her. Realizing she had destroyed any chance of redemption, she succumbed to her despair. She climbed to the

By the time I heard about the tragedy, Frederick and I were already on a plane heading to the Maldives for our honeymoon.
I set my phone down, letting out a quiet sigh as I leaned against Frederick‘ st shoulder. My fingers played idly with the wedding band on his ring finger.
“Frederick,” I said softly, my voice tinged with warmth, “let‘ s promise to always be good to each other.”
He turned his head slightly to look at me, his lips curving into a tender smile. “We will be.”
The plane hummed steadily as we soared through the skies, carrying us toward a bright and promising future. No shadows of the past could reach us now. Our love, untainted and unbreakable, would stretch endlessly ahead of us, guiding us through the long and wonderful life we were about
