Chapter 31
The contract signing ceremony with Heavens Arts was set for nine in the morning, broadcast live for all to see. It was a clear show of support from Heavens Arts for Eleanor and Celeste as they faced off in this epic confrontation. Three years had passed, and Eleanor had nearly forgotten the exhilaration of attending high–profile events. But when she slipped into her creamy white backless gown and adorned her neck with the exquisite jewelry sponsored by Heavens Arts, a radiant confidence washed over her once again.
Seraphina, Eleanor’s assistant, had driven to the Grand Hyatt Castle early that morning. Thanks to their connection, Victor had granted her special access to the estate. She was initially there to help Eleanor choose an outfit for the event, but upon entering, she was stunned to discover that Victor had arranged an entire floor filled with a stunning wardrobe for Eleanor.
“Henry’s President is truly something else. Talk about a grand gesture and excellent taste!” Seraphina remarked in awe.
Just then, Victor emerged from the dressing room and, upon seeing Eleanor, turned to Seraphina and said, “I need to speak with Eleanor for a moment.”
“Sure, I’ll step out now,” Seraphina understood immediately, turning and shutting the door behind her.
Eleanor, standing before the mirror, flashed a charming smile at Victor, like a blooming lily–fresh and elegant, drawing all attention towards her.
“What do you want to tell me?” she asked coyly.
In lieu of words, Victor stepped forward, wrapped his arms around her from behind, turned her head, and kissed her gently on the lips. “I want to kiss you, but more than that… I want to cherish you.”
“I’m going to be late,” Eleanor said, lingering against Victor’s lips.
“I’ll be watching the live stream…”
Eleanor nodded in satisfaction, slipping her arm through Victor’s as they walked out of the villa together. They truly looked like a perfect couple–Eleanor radiated purity like fresh fallen snow, while Victor exuded a dangerous allure reminiscent of the night.
Seraphina watched them leave, a bit mesmerized. Now that’s what I call a couple… not like that jerk Percival.
Shortly after, with Seraphina’s assistance, Eleanor stepped into the car. As they drove, Seraphina said, “The signing time is nine, and we’re set to arrive around eight–fifty- not too early, not late. Just perfect.”
“Your planning is always spot on,” Eleanor replied, focused on her phone.
The flight is at three this afternoon, but Celeste arranged for her haters to meet you at the airport. I saw her fan group organizing everything to make your life difficult! Some are even scouting opportunities to either make you look bad or capture those moments to blow up on social media.”
Seraphina scoffed at the immaturity. Because actions like that often caused the most damage, beneath that childish exterior lay a depth of cruelty.
“How did you find out about all this?” Eleanor asked incredulously.
“I have a burner account in her group…” Seraphina chuckled proudly. “Let those kiddos have their fun… I can’t wait for the videos to surface! I wonder how swollen their faces will look after this.”
Eleanor chuckled softly; gathering her haters was just a talent Celeste possessed. Compared to Eleanor’s current flourishing fanbase, Celeste’s was meager, but she still caught glimpses of a few hopefuls excited for her airport appearance.
At eight fifty precisely, Eleanor arrived at the signing hotel amidst a flurry of press photographers as she stepped onto the red carpet.
Seraphina had settled on eight fifty to maintain Eleanor’s prestige while ensuring they arrived right on time.
“Eleanor, since the apology incident, you’ve gone silent. Then suddenly, you resurface to steal Celeste’s endorsement. Was this all part of your plan?”
*Celeste posted a few pictures this morning of her struggling to stand. Is she trying to blame you for taking her endorsement?”
“Eleanor, do you plan on making a comeback?”
Eleanor smiled throughout and answered none of the reporters‘ questions. Once inside the hotel, she merely followed Heavens Arts‘ arranged itinerary, displaying impressive cooperation.
